Tanya Pardazi, a 21-year-old social media personality, and TikToker died in a fatal skydiving accident on August 27, 2022. According to sources, the accident occurred as Pardazi was finishing her first solo course with Skydive Toronto in Innisfil, Ontario. The descent went wrong when she didn’t deploy her parachute in time.
The accident was characterized as follows in a statement issued by Skydive Toronto:
“A 21-year-old skydiving student died as a result of fatal injuries sustained in an emergency circumstance. The skydiver dropped a rapidly spinning primary parachute at a low height, eliminating the need for the backup parachute to expand.”
Pardazi was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but he was declared dead upon arrival. Melody Ozgoli, Pardazi’s close friend, stated in a statement to the press:
“One of her favorite things to discuss was the purpose of life and the hereafter. I recently spoke with her. It seemed unbelievable to me. I assumed it was a prank at first. It’s been a few days, and I still can’t believe it.”
