Talia Goodman, Jeff Goodman’s daughter, is a Hoosier Network employee. The teen has previously worked with NBC and established a sports media firm. Talia has been running Goods Sports Media for two years and has over 5,000 Instagram followers. She has been interested in journalism since she was in high school at Pingree. Talia was formerly the editor-in-chief of her high school’s newspaper, the Highlander, and is now interning at 247 Sports. She is the only child of Jeff Goodman and Melissa Goodman. Jeff, a senior basketball commentator, formerly worked for ESPN for five years before joining Stadium Basketball Insider in 2018. He has previously worked for FOX Sports and CBS Sports.
Meet Talia Goodman, Jeff Goodman’s Daughter
Jeff Goodman’s daughter, Talia Goodman, is his only child. Talia is 20 years old and was born on September 10, 2003. Talia, a Pingree School alumnus, has followed in her renowned father’s footsteps. Talia, like her father, has a talent for journalism and is studying Sports Media at Indiana University. Talia has already garnered great knowledge despite her early age. Even though her father is a well-known name, she would not have been able to keep her job if it weren’t for her hard work.
Talia started her work at Hockey Night In New England as a marketing and social media summer intern. She worked for them for four months before joining the Canes Country staff writing team. Talia’s father had already informed everyone about her passion for hockey. Jeff posted a video on his X page of Talia becoming ecstatic after receiving a Jack Hughes shirt for her 16th birthday. Talia worked as a Production Intern for NBC Sports Boston last year. She helped to transcribe interviews and press conferences and prepared scripts for both Early Edition and Boston Sports Tonight.
Talia has been with The Hoosier Network since 2022. Talia joined the network as the Indiana WSOC and WBB Beat Reporter, and she has been following the Indiana volleyball team since last year. She has also worked as a sideline reporter for the Indiana University women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, and field hockey teams. Talia joined Peegs.com (part of 247 Sports) as an intern last year and has covered men’s and women’s basketball as well as football for Indiana University. Talia is on Instagram, where she has 5k followers, and she uploads photographs from her profession as a reporter in addition to her daily life.
Meet Melissa Goodman, Jeff Goodman’s wife
Melissa Goodman, the basketball insider’s wife, has kept herself out of the public eye. Melissa earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Lehigh University in 1991. She temporarily worked at Linkage in 2000 before moving on to become the director of operations at Consumer Quality Initiatives for 13 years. Melissa departed her position in 2015.
Melissa, unlike her daughter and husband, isn’t extremely active on social media. Her spouse has periodically posted images of her on his X site. On their anniversary in 2016, Jeff had previously uploaded a family picture. He posted a picture with the message, “Happy anniversary to my wife — yet my daughter (only child) is the winner tonight, getting to tag along for Hamilton!” When questioned why he opted to reside in Newburyport when he could have lived anyplace else, Jeff previously said that he didn’t want to disturb the lives of his wife and kid too much.
