Solána Imani Rowe was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 8, 1990. She grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey. Rowe’s father was a CNN executive producer. Her mother was an AT&T executive. Her parents were African Americans, with a Christian mother, and a Muslim father. Tiffany Daniels, her older half-sister, and Daniel, her brother, are her siblings. Daniel is a Manhattan rapper. Unfortunately, she was raised as an orthodox Muslim.
