Stump Mitchell Wife: Is He Married? Is He Dating Anyone? Relationship Explore

Stump Mitchell

Stump Mitchell’s wife and other personal facts have long been shrouded in mystery. But the former Browns coach has five children with Rita Mitchell. Many football fans have long thought that the coach was never married. We don’t know when Rita and Coach Stump went down the aisle, but they have five children: Eric, Reco, Shawn, Lionel, and Gail. Some may recognize Gail from her parts in the television series Snowfall. However, Gail has never discussed her father in interviews, instead focusing on her mother and Rita’s impact on her life.

After five seasons, the Cleveland Browns have parted company with the running backs coach. Mitchell sat down for an exclusive interview after being dismissed and said that he has no ill will against the Browns organization or head coach Kevin Stefanski. But Stump brought up running back Kareem Hunt and questioned the 28-year-old’s work ethic. He complained that he couldn’t get the most out of Kareem.

Is Stump Mitchell Married or Dating Anyone?

Rita Mitchell is the wife of Cleveland Browns coach Stump Mitchell. She teaches high school science. The football coach seldom appears to speak about his family, so it’s unclear if Stump and Rita have split. Not only do they have a husband-wife relationship, but they also have five children. Most football fans understand that a coach’s family information will be posted on the team’s website. The websites don’t go into depth, but they do include the coach’s marriage and the names of his wives and children. But the Cleveland Browns website hasn’t done anything similar for their previous coach.

This might lead some to assume Coach Stump is single and has no children. However, in a 2007 interview on the Seattle Seahawks website, Stump confirmed that he had children. When asked about a memorable milestone in his life outside of football, the coach said, “The birth of my children – nothing else compares to that. Mitchell coached the Seahawks from 1999 to 2007. He was the running backs’ coach.

The football coach does not have any social media profiles, thus nothing is known about his personal life. Mitchell has already discussed his family life before marriage. The football coach’s single mother reared him and his six siblings in Georgia. His elder brother gave him the moniker Stump. Despite being smaller than other children, Stump was always eager to participate in sports and was never frightened by larger or older competitors. Most of his interviews to far have focused on his athletic career rather than his personal life.

Stump Mitchell Kids: Father of Five

Stump Mitchell, a former football player, raised five children with his wife, Rita Mitchell. One of his kids was a former Alabama athlete. Lionel Mitchell, Stump’s son and a cornerback, previously played for Nick Saban’s team in 2005 and 2006. Lionel graduated from Stephenson High School and attended Alabama in 2005. Lionel appeared in five games and took 40 snaps during his first year. In his second year at Alabama, Lionel made his first career start against Vanderbilt and finished with 25 tackles, four interceptions, and one pass breakup.

According to a report from 2008, the cornerback’s career at Alabama has come to an end. Lionel was granted a medical scholarship due to recurrent lower back discomfort. However, the cornerback then went to East Stroudsburg University and attempted to restart his football career. Later that year, Lionel was scheduled to represent ESU in the 2009 Valero Cactus Bowl. Lionel is active on Instagram and is now a father of four children. Stump Mitchell’s other kids, Reco, Shawn, and Eric, have kept a quiet profile. Many people may be unaware that Gail Bean, an American actress, is the daughter of football coach Rita Mitchell. Gail has been in the television shows Snowfall and Paradise Lost.
