He graduated in 1997 from Hunter College High School, where he attended. After graduating, he enrolled at Columbia University, a general studies institution, and earned a B.A. there in 2002. He served as the president of Sigma Phi Epsilon while he was a student, and he also contributed to the Columbia Spectator.
