She was instrumental in establishing and authoring the legislation relating to education and the teaching of the disability history curriculum in all schools in 2007. In her 24th year, she relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she concentrated her efforts to speak, write, and organize for the rights of handicapped people.
