Turner and Jonas were spotted many times in public prior to her announcement of her pregnancy. In a May interview, the actress announced that she and her husband were expecting their second child. In a May interview with Elle UK, the actress of The Staircase discussed her pregnancy and the enthusiasm around it.
“For me, life is all about nurturing the next generation. The greatest joy in life is seeing my kid grow stronger over time. We are thrilled to be growing our family. This is the greatest gift ever.”
She also described Willa’s reaction to her mother’s expanding tummy, noting that the toddler was “taking her territory.” The actress continued:
“I’ll indicate my tummy and ask, “What’s inside?” And she will say, “Baby.” Then she will point to her own stomach and say, “Baby,” before pointing to her father’s stomach and saying, “Baby.” So, I believe she just believes that a belly is a baby and that this is its name. But she seems far more possessive than usual, so I believe she has some idea. She wants her mother constantly.”
Since the announcement, Sophie Turner has made a number of dazzling public appearances while carrying her pregnant tummy. At the Met Gala in 2022, she donned a black Louis Vuitton with diamond accents over her chest and Louis Vuitton’s High Jewelry to complete her ensemble.
The actress also discussed parenthood on the podcast Unwrapped.
