Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin first collaborated on a Korean film called The Negotiation in 2018, and then in the 2019 Netflix blockbuster series Crash Landing on You. The show was a smashing success, capturing the hearts of viewers all around the globe. In the show, the connection between Hyun Bin and the actress was evident. The plot centered on a North Korean soldier who chose to hide a South Korean lady who had entered North Korea by mistake after witnessing a paragliding accident.
Fans were overjoyed when Dispatch emerged in the first few days of 2021 that the Crash Landing on You actors had been dating since March 2020. Following the Dispatch article, the agencies for both stars acknowledged their connection. They married a year later, on March 31, 2022, and their wedding photos were released on Instagram by their agency. Following the couple’s March wedding, the actress turned to Instagram in June to announce her pregnancy. She wrote in her caption:
