Sol Xochitl is boxer Mike Tyson’s ex-girlfriend. Xochitl and the Baddest Man On The Planet were together in the 2000s, during which time they had two children.
Sol Xochitl Is A Mexican
Xochitl was born in the winter of 1975/76. Xochitl is said to have been born in Mexico to Mexican parents. Her ex-boxer boyfriend has referred to her as Mexican on occasion.
Aside from that, there isn’t much to say about Tyson’s ex-girlfriend, especially when it comes to her life before meeting the legendary boxer. She is most likely a celebrity’s least-mentioned former relative.
At A Strip Club, Xochitl Met Mike Tyson
Tyson reveals that he met Sol at a strip joint in Phoenix, Arizona. Sol, who Mike refers to in his biography as Shelley, was a stripper when she first met the boxer.
Sol was a fitness nut; not even Mike could compete with her.
Mike recalls a time when he and his assistant Darryl were throwing around a fifteen-pound medicine ball and Shelley joined in on the fun. Iron Mike goes on to describe how he and Sol threw the ball 250 times and he got sore, but she kept throwing it with Darryl.
Mike was completely bankrupt when Xochitl dated him
During the time Sol was dating Tyson, the latter owed approximately $27 million, $17 million of which was for back taxes owed to the IRS and the English tax authorities. The remaining $10 million was for personal expenses, which included money owed to his former wife, Monica, from the divorce, mortgages, and massive legal fees.
Tyson claims he was so overwhelmed and irritated by the bankruptcy process that he simply gave up his house. He goes on to explain how he had no fight planned but worked out anyway and got high.
Meanwhile, he spent time in Phoenix with Sol. According to the New Yorker, he and his then-girlfriend, Xochitl, were eating Frosted Flakes and Twizzlers for dinner.
Sol Xochitl did everything she could to keep her daughter alive.
Sol and her then-partner would face the darkest day of their lives on May 26, 2009, when their daughter, Exodus, died. Their daughter was playing on a treadmill at their Arizona home when she became entangled in a cord.
Exodus then lost consciousness, after which her brother Miguel discovered her and her mother arrived. After loosening her daughter, Sol, who was cleaning the house, immediately dialed 911. Documents later revealed that Exodus’ mother “did everything she could when this tragic accident occurred.”
Why did Xochitl vanish?
Xochitl became a completely forgotten name after the tragic incident of her daughter’s death. Mike writes in his book, Undisputed Truth, that after Exodus died, she was unable to care for her other child, Miguel.
While there’s no denying she’s still grieving the loss of her four-year-old daughter, the pain may have subsided to some extent. For the time being, Xochitl is just another name once associated with a much-discussed personality who has since been completely eclipsed into obscurity.
