Shooter Jennings was born in Nashville, Tennessee, in the United States. His mother, Jessi Colter, and father, Waylon Jennings, were both legendary figures in the music industry. His first years were spent in a bus’ cradle, and he was surrounded by musicians throughout his infancy, including Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, and Johnny Cash. Probably, for this reason, Shooter only began playing the drums at the age of 5. At the age of 8, he started taking piano lessons, and at the age of 14, he started playing the guitar.
He started the rock group “KilRaven” when he was a senior in high school. Shooter and his father collaborated on an album for the first time in 1996. He released the Kilraven song “Only You” with the album “Missed The Boat” in 2011. The “Fenixon” record was never released since it couldn’t find a distributor. The “Black Country Rock” of Shooter released “Fenixon” in its entirety in 2014.

Career
Shooter Jennings relocated to Los Angeles in 2001 and joined the rock group “Stargunn.” He played the piano while fronting the band and sang. By the end of 2001, Shooter and other “Stargunn” musicians published their first album, “The Only Way Up Is Down.” When his father passed away in 2002, he paid tribute to him by singing “I’ve Always Been Crazy.” Shooter quit “Stargunn” on March 30, 2003, and started singing solo gigs.
Shooter Jennings and the.357’s released “Bad Magick: The Best of Shooter Jennings and the.357’s,” his first compilation album (and fourth overall), on March 24, 2009.
