Shaun Brown is an actor who was born on January 19, at March Air Force Base, California, United States. Shaun Brown was born on March Air Force Base in Riverside, California. Shaun Brown aspired to be a heart surgeon when he was younger, but when he was cast in his first musical, “West Side Story,” he fell in love with acting and pursued it with several high school musical performances. After two national tours of musical theater performances, Shaun moved his focus to television and cinema, where he immersed himself in the Meisner method. Having been a musical theater performer since his adolescence, the Meisner approach encouraged him to concentrate on listening and greatly simplified his performance.

- Brown started his broadcasting career in Perth in 1970 with the Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC). He then worked for Television New Zealand (TVNZ) as a reporter, presenter, and producer, as well as the BBC as a current affairs producer and broadcaster. He was named Managing Editor, of News and Current Affairs by TVNZ in 1994. In 1997, he was appointed President of TV One. In 2001, he was named Head of Television, with a reported annual salary of $340,000, and was in charge of both TVNZ stations. Brown held this role at TVNZ for nine months until it was terminated by CEO Ian Fraser. In January 2003, he was appointed Head of Television at SBS.
- Among his journalistic duties was coverage of French nuclear testing at Muroroa Atoll aboard the warship HMNZS Otago in 1973, for which he received the New Zealand Special Service medal in 2002. He was also honored by the industry for his efforts as an investigative current affairs reporter and producer of election night shows.
- Brown increased SBS’s spending in commissioned programming from $4 million in 2002 to almost $30 million in 2009. During the same time period, SBS’s viewer share climbed by 22% to a total share of 6.2%. Brown attended Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s 2008 2020 Summit.
