Schapelle Corby, her brother, and two friends traveled from Brisbane to Bali via Sydney on October 8, 2004. When she arrived at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, she was arrested by customs agents who discovered 4.2 kg (9.3 lb) of cannabis in her bodyboard bag.
