Samaje Perine began professionally playing football in 2017 and continues to do so. He began his professional football career after being picked in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins. He has accumulated all of the experience and talents required to play professional football, having done so since high school. He was a running back for the Hendrickson Hawks football team in high school, where he carried for 1,492 yards and 12 touchdowns. In 2011, he took first position in both the triple jump (46 ft, 0.5 in) and the long jump (20 ft, 8 in). Rivals.com was rated a four-star prospect.
He attended the University of Oklahoma, where he carried over 200 yards for the second time, accumulating 213 yards on 25 runs and scoring three touchdowns against Texas Tech on November 15. Perine is presently a member of the Washington Redskins, having been chosen in 2017.
