Ross Mathews just married Dr. Wellinthon Garcia on May 7. The wedding took place at the Almar Resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where the couple met two years ago. The couple donned bespoke grooms’ tuxedos by Robbie & Co., and the event was attended by around 110 people. Guests were given gift bags including Mario Badescu skincare goods like toners, face SPFs, and lip balm. Garcia’s father accompanied the couple down the aisle as their parents’ representative. Garcia’s sister Racquel was the honoree, while Mathews’ brother Eric served as best man. The ring bearers were their nephews Evan and Andrew, and the ceremony was planned by famous wedding and event designer Michael Russo.
At OIS & Co., Mathews and Garcia exchanged rings created by Jean Kemanjian. Bruschetta, sushi, fresh seafood, meat, salad, and vegan alternatives were on the menu. Mathews hired local musicians to play at their wedding. Drew Barrymore attended the wedding as the couple’s flower girl. When Mathews appeared on Barrymore’s program, she asked him if he wanted a flower girl for his wedding, and he quickly agreed to have Barrymore as the flower girl.

Dr. Wellinthon Garcia’s present occupation has not been published. He has roughly 1,000 Instagram followers under the username @Drwgarcia. Garcia is a New York resident, and his Instagram profile says he is a Doctor of Education, however, it is unclear where he works. Dr. Wellinthon Garcia seems to keep a quiet profile. Nonetheless, Ross Mathews disclosed to Drew Barrymore on her program that his girlfriend is a Hofstra University graduate and the curriculum head of the Elmont School District on Long Island.
Dr. Garcia has a Doctorate of Education in Educational and Policy Leadership, according to the Hofstra University website. Since then, he has been committed to offering meaningful experiences for his district’s students, such as a partnership with Junior Achievement of New York to explore job opportunities. He regularly goes to the West Coast to spend time with Mathews and take in the sun in Palm Springs when he is not monitoring the curriculum.
They ignited dating rumors in October 2021, and Ross Mathews said on The Drew Barrymore Show that the relationship started before the COVID-19 epidemic and blossomed over FaceTime. He said,
“I think I began seeing someone in January. And then the world… went dark, and we managed to keep it going via FaceTime, chatting every day. He resides in New York, while I am in Los Angeles. And I believe it’s because we’ve had to, like, have genuine dialogues. And, you know, in the first few months of dating, there’s generally not a lot of chatting.”
Mathews and Garcia just married, as previously announced. In an interview, Mathews said,
“We’ll spend a couple of days in Puerto Vallarta with our whole group. We’ll then head to the Las Alamandas resort. It’s a little out of the way, just outside of Puerto Vallarta. We’ll be staying for a few days.”
