Later Parsons returned to New York in 1977 and, after only two years, became a partner at the Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler law firm. He was also a partner at Giuliani’s firm.
During his 11 years at the firm, Parsons had as a high-profile client Happy Rockefeller, the widow of Nelson (who died in 1979). Following a three-year career, Nelson was recommended to then-CEO Steve Ross by Nelson’s brother Laurance Rockefeller in 1991.
