Richard Kline Biography
Richard Kline was born on April 29, he was born to his mother Leah Klein in Queens, New York. Nothing is known about his father. Richard attended Queens College of the City University of New York in America before earning a master’s degree in theater from Northwestern University there. He joined the UNITED STATES ARMY after graduating and served as a lieutenant in the Vietnam War.

Richard Kline began his performing career in the theater. In 1971, Richard made his stage debut with the Lincoln Center Repertory Company. He was not only a great actor but a fantastic vocalist as well. He made his Broadway vocal debut in the musical A CITY OF ANGELS.
In the television series Three’s Company, Richard portrayed Larry Dallas, a playboy neighbor, and Jack Tripper’s best friend. From 1977 through 1984, he appeared in 110 episodes of the program. Additionally, he performed the role of Larry Dallas in the spin-off series THE ROPERS and THREES A CROWD. In addition, he hosted two-game series, TO TELL THE TRUTH, and JUMBLE.
On September 3rd, 1990, the EAST COAST aired his, TO TELL THE TRUTH pilot. On SWEETHEARTS, he filled in for CHARLES NEILSON REILLY. He was hired to play the Wizard in WICKED in 2010. Later, in 2011, he made an appearance on IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU. Then, in 2016, he met fans and signed autographs with the Three’s Company cast at THE HOLLYWOOD SHOW in Chicago, which was an autograph and memorabilia event. He is currently touring the country with the MUSICAL.
