Paul was formerly married to Tobey Maguire’s ex-wife, Jennifer Meyer. They began dating in late 2018 and ignited relationship rumors in January 2019 after being sighted in Beverly Hills. Paul was born on December 16, 1981, in Glenville, Cleveland, Ohio, to a family of four children. Rich Paul Sr. and Peaches, his father, reared him in a one-bedroom apartment until his father died. His father was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 1999 when he was away at the University of Akron. He died within a few months and dropped out shortly after. His mother, Peaches, was a heroin addict who couldn’t care for him or his brothers. He moved a few streets away to live with his grandma when he was ten. Peaches subsequently became sober but died in 2016.

Aside from his difficult family life, he grew up in a hazardous area. There was frequent gun violence and fatalities, which he survived. He had developed a company selling vintage jerseys by 2002.
