Reina King, Regina King’s sister, has a successful career.

Although the two sisters worked in the same business, the elder had more tremendous success than her younger sister. On the other hand, Reina has a solid portfolio to demonstrate that she has built a reputation for herself.

As an actress, the younger sibling played Tiffany James in the 1987 film Maid to Order and Lanell Cooley, the oldest daughter of actress Alfre Woodard, in the 1988 film Scrooged. Her other prominent film and television roles include 227, To Sleep with Anger, and A Hollow Place.

Furthermore, Reina and her elder sister Regina are the sole owners of Royal Ties Productions, a boutique production firm that reportedly provides quality content to all media types.

According to the production company’s bio

“The partners’ combined strengths, as well as their established relationships with artists and industry leaders, enable Royal Ties Productions to synchronize significant entertainment resources under one roof,”

The Sisters’ Names Mean the Same Thing

Surprisingly, Regina and Reina’s parents named them so that their names have the same meaning.

In December 2018, the elder sister said on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan that Reina and Regina both meant “Queen” in Spanish and Latin, respectively.

“Regina means “Queen,” and your sister’s name, Reina, also means “Queen.” What a happy coincidence! “remarked the host.

In response to the statement, the actress said that her mother was her father’s second wife, and when the couple received their first child, the actress’ mother intended to call her “Thomasina.”

On the other hand, her father had other ideas since he wanted his daughter to have a royal name. As a result, he came across the name Regina.

“…and then there was my sister, who came as a surprise. And he couldn’t abandon her. Reina is her name “Regina elaborated.

Regina King and Reina King Have a Close Relationship

The two sisters are close and frequently seen supporting one another. As previously indicated, they formed and ran a production firm together. That is highly unlikely in Hollywood, where many siblings are not even on speaking terms and are content to mind their own business.

Similarly, the King sisters are frequently seen in public together. In April 2015, the big sister even turned to Twitter to celebrate National Siblings Day by posting photos of the two sisters.
