Harlem rapper Jim Jones seems to have pricey taste, and when he goes shopping, he expects top-tier treatment from the premium businesses he visits. Rappers flaunt shopping visits to different premium brands and document their adventures on social media. Some are so eager that they include the brand’s name in their song lyrics.
Gucci has been a mainstay for many rappers, and Jim Jones has previously supported Gucci. However, it seems that Gucci lost one devoted client due to a lack of hospitality. Jim Jones was dissatisfied with his buying experience at a Gucci store since it seemed that workers were ignoring him and wanted to give him the runaround when he inquired for the store manager.
What happened to Jim Jones in the Gucci store: The Drama
When the rapper and his gang went to the Gucci shop, things did not go well. He went on to explain that he had gotten the worst customer service he had ever experienced. The rapper was offended by the string of incidences and posted a rage video on his social media accounts, Instagram and Twitter. According to Jim Jones:
“We’ve been in Gucci for around an hour. Right? And we were in the VIP section of the Gucci. Nobody has come to offer us any kindness, amenities, or anything else since we arrived. Period!”
Rapper also discussed his negative experience with customer service at the shop, claiming that they were ushered to the VIP section just to wait there for an hour without assistance. When they were asked for assistance or even a basic necessity like water, they “sent a Black man” who didn’t appear to care or be helpful. When he requested to see the shop manager, things only got worse.
“Nobody came out after everyone had vanished!
I’ll have to keep yelling for the VIPs to assist me
“They recruit Black individuals, and these Black people are more racist than white people when they obtain a job at Gucci. Stop fooling around with us, bro.”
Later, Jim Jones and his entourage opted to visit another shop, leaving the Gucci store behind. He went to Bergdorf Goodman and had a terrific time. When he arrived at the Bergdorf Goodman store, he was treated like a true VIP. When he received excellent service, the rapper showed his delight:
“Can you hear me when you arrive to the Bergdorf?”
