Radamel Falcao was only 13 years old when he joined the Columbian Primera B team Lanceros Boyaca in 1999. In 2001, he joined River Plate, an Argentine club, and on March 6, 2005, he played his first match for that team against Instituto de Cordoba in the eighth division league. With a 3-1 victory, the team defected to them. Similarly, Falcao played for River Plate until 2009, appearing in 90 matches and scoring 34 goals. On July 9, 2015, he struck a deal with Porto. During the 2009-10 season, he scored his first goal for Porto in a Champions League match against Atletico Madrid.
He also had a hat-trick against Rapid Wein in the Europa League during the 2010-11 season. They also won this title in the final, where they faced Braga.
