Unsuccessful marriages
Sharon has been married twice before. Both of her marriages, however, ended in divorce. Her first marriage was to Michael Greenburg, a television producer whom she met on the set of The Vegas Strip War. They married the same year they met, in 1984, but divorced after three years. Later, on Valentine’s Day 1998, she wedded Phil Bronstein, an executive editor for the San Francisco Examiner, the San Francisco Chronicle, and Hearst Newspapers. In 2003, Phil filed for divorce, alleging irreconcilable differences. In 2004, the divorce was completed.
Life provided her with a second opportunity.
In 2001, she was diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage, which almost cost her everything. Before they discovered out, she suffered a nine-day brain bleed. There was just a 5% chance she would survive. She told Oprah Winfrey about her near-death experience, in which she described seeing white light after being unconscious by the MRI. Even after she had survived, it took her 15 years to recover. She had to go through a period in which she had to relearn how to walk, hear, write, communicate, and remember. Sharon went on, beginning afresh after accepting herself and leaving her old shelf behind.
Quinn and his older brother are birth siblings.
Sharon experienced three terrible miscarriages as a result of her inflammatory condition. As a result, she was unable to have biological children. She has three boys via adoption. In 2000, she and her ex-husband, Phil Bronstein, adopted their first child, Roan Joseph Bronstein. However, after the divorce, Phil was awarded custody, with Sharon having visiting rights. She then adopted two additional kids, Laird Vonne and Quinn, on her own. They were both adopted in 2005 and 2006, and they are birth siblings. Several years ago, they were faced with the truth.
A heartbreaking second divorce
Sharon was in the process of healing when her second ex-husband, Phil Bronstein, filed for divorce to marry his girlfriend. It became much more traumatic when her ex-husband and his girlfriend filed a custody lawsuit against her. She was horrified when the court ruled against her, citing the instability and insecurity of her household.
As a single mom, Sharon feels parenthood is not something to do alone
Sharon, a single mother of three adopted children, believes that parenting is not something she can accomplish alone. However, she believes that parenting is not something that can be done alone, thus she has hired nannies for her boys. She adores her children beyond anything else.
Who is Sharon dating?
Sharon, 62, is now single. In 2018, she was dating Italian real estate agent Angelo Boffa. There was a rumor that they were engaged when she was seen wearing a diamond band on her ring finger, however, this was subsequently shown to be incorrect. In December 2017, the pair met on a work vacation to St. Moritz, Switzerland. They were photographed kissing in New York at a series premiere in January 2018, according to the insider.
She dated comic Garry Shandling shortly after her first divorce and stayed on good terms with him until he died in 2016. She married producer William J. MacDonald (Bill MacDonald) in 1993 but divorced one year later, returning the engagement ring to him by FedEx. She was also in a relationship with assistant director Bob Wagner.
She was unbanned from a dating app.
Sharon was previously barred from using the dating app Bumble after informing some of the males she found insulting that she didn’t want to speak to them. They assumed she wasn’t her and reported her as a forgery. In 2019, she asked the Bumble whether being herself was discriminatory and if it would keep her out of the hive.
