Princess Mako is a former member of the Japanese royal family and the first child and eldest daughter of Prince Fumihito and Princess Kiko. She attended the Gakushin School for Primary, Girls’ Junior, and Senior High School. In July and August of 2010, she studied English at University College Dublin (UCD). Then met with Ireland’s President, Mary McAleese, informally, and she traveled to Northern Ireland. Komuro received a bachelor’s degree in Art and Cultural Heritage from the International Christian University in Mitaka, Tokyo, on March 26, 2014.
