Pokimane

Imane “Pokimane” Anys is taking a sabbatical from the internet indefinitely. The streamer announced her retirement from the internet on Twitter and stated why on July 19, 2022. “I’ve been feeling like I needed a mental reset and some time to concentrate on myself and my life away from the internet.” Proper breaks, in my view, are crucial to one’s health and job longevity,” she said on Twitter.

She said that she was thankful for her fans’ support over the years and thanked them for putting her in a position to take time off like this. But this is not the end of her online trip; she said that she plans to return rejuvenated and ready to create more material.

She did not clarify what she would cease doing as part of her hiatus, although fans may no longer be able to view her regular Twitch sessions. Pokimane is Twitch’s most popular female streamer and most-watched content provider. She has not yet stated a timetable for her comeback.

Fans React to Pokimane’s Announcement

With such a vast fan following, it’s unsurprising that the news of their favorite streamer’s break has hurt them. However, since Pokimane indicated that it was for mental health, they expressed their support on social media. Even other content makers and well-wishers expressed their support and empathy on her Twitter feed:

“A week of work at 100% is more significant than a month of work at 30%,” NRG streamer Ethoz Copenhagen said. Allow yourself as much time as you need to rejuvenate. “We’ll all be here patiently waiting,”

“Yesssss we adore a refreshed, happy satisfied qween have a gr8 vacation, c u soon,” Nicole Sanchez, aka Neekolul, commented. “AMEN, IMANE! Please let me know if you would want travel, book, or experience suggestions. “I’ve become the queen of taking time off and know tons of enjoyable activities that can nourish your soul,” Kittyplays said.

While the majority of viewers were sympathetic, others chastised the streamer for taking a vacation. These individuals stated Pokimane was taking a vacation since her streams were struggling, giving the impression that her life was miserable.

Pokimane is the recipient of the Legacy Award

Pokimane made the news on Twitter after winning the coveted Legacy Award at The Streamer Awards 2022. She acknowledged her thanks after receiving the prize and said that she did not expect to win it. She had no expectations as she competed against streamers such as Sodapoppin, Scarra, and Summit1G. “When I say I had no expectation of winning, I truly mean it. I still can’t believe I won anything. “I didn’t expect I’d win anything,” the Twitch star said.
