Career
Torngat was formed in 2001 by Pietro Amato, pianist Mathieu Charbonneau, and drummer Julien Poissant. For numerous years, the band also worked on their longest-running musical project. Prior to creating Torngat, he was a member of the Alien8 label. He then appeared with the Bell Orchestre at the Montreal Jazz Festival in 2006. He even promoted the song Recording a Tape the Color of the Light with a tour in Europe in March and a tour in the United States in May. Then he marketed the record La Rouge across eastern Canada with his band Torngat. Torngat released an album called You Could Be in 2007.
In March 2007, he even toured Canada with Arcade Fire to promote Neon Bible.
