Peter Addenbrooke Thomas was born on June 28, 1928. Naples, Florida is his hometown. John D Thomas was his father, and Sibyl Addenbrooke was his mother. His parents were both from the United Kingdom.

His father was Welsh, and his mother was Salisbury. His father was a minister, and his mother taught in a school. His parents were always concerned about his education. His father was a firm believer in mental images. His career started at a young age. He got his first job as an announcer at a local radio station when he was 14 years old. The radio station couldn’t pay him because he was too young, but they found him a sponsor and gave him flying lessons.

Thomas attended Stony Brook School, but he had to leave because it was World War II, and he volunteered for the US Army in 1943. He received numerous awards and medals for his service in the United States Army.

Peter Thomas narrated One Survivor Remembers, an Academy Award-winning documentary. HBO produced the film. The documentary depicted an intern’s firsthand experiences at the Nordhausen Concentration Camp. Thomas contributed to the HBO film Battle of Hurtgen Forest. Thomas participated in the battle.

Thomas also narrated the Discovery Channel miniseries How the West Was Lost. He narrated D-Sunken Day’s Secrets, a two-hour episode of Nova. During the D-Day landing, Thomas went to Omaha Beach. Thomas worked from home using ISDN. He recorded all over America, as well as many European cities. He appeared in numerous commercials for IBM, NCB, ESPN, Burger King, Coca-Cola, and William Beaumont Hospital.
