Jordan, Pamela Rooke, died in her hometown of Seaford, East Sussex, England. At the moment of her death, the late 66-year-old model was accompanied by her family. The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and its website, Cancer.net, state that
“In the United States, an estimated 8,000 persons are diagnosed with bile duct cancer each year.”
According to the American Cancer Society, the five-year survival rate of patients with bile duct disease varies from 2% to 25%, depending on the stage of cancer’s dissemination. Patients who have undergone early identification, like any other kind of cancer, have a statistically increased chance of survival. The standard therapy for bile duct cancer is to remove the malignant or tumorous part of the duct. Other treatments might include radiation and chemotherapy.
