Outchef’d, the Food Network’s next culinary program will launch on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 10 p.m. ET. Contestants will be included in the program without being auditioned for the first time. They will be shocked to find out that they were accepted right away.

In the new series Outchef’d, presented by Eddie Jackson, confident home chefs who believe they’re come for an audition get the shock of their life when they discover they’re going to compete against a world-class chef. These home chefs thrive in their own kitchens, but do they have what it takes to compete against a top expert in a culinary battle?
The network announced the program on August 25, 2022, indicating that it would begin with back-to-back episodes. Contestants will not only have to cook on their own, but they will also compete against some of the show’s greatest chefs for a $5,000 grand prize.

Eddie Jackson’s cooking program will have an intriguing opening round. In the first round, contestants must prepare a meal utilizing a highlighted item. Eddie will go out into the streets, seeking for people to test the recipes and rate them. Furthermore, entrants must obtain at least one vote from each of the six normal people who will assess their meals in order to win the tournament.
During the program, contestants will battle against some of the industry’s top chefs, including Eric Adjepong, Anne Burrell, Maneet Chauhan, Scott Conant, Tiffani Faison, Amanda Freitag, Alex Guarnaschelli, Antonia Lofaso, Marc Murphy, and Geoffrey Zakarian. Jane Latman, President, Home & Food Content and Streaming, Warner Bros. Discovery, addressed the launch of Outchef’d with Food Network, saying:
“This series is the ultimate in desire fulfillment for the Food Network fan who gets unexpectedly cast as the show’s lead.”
She went on to say:

Who is the Season 1 host of OutChef’d?
Eddie Jackson, a professional football cornerback and American chef placed seventh in Season 4 of the reality food competition program MasterChef in 2013. Eddie participated in Season 11 of the Food Network series Food Network Star in 2015. He defeated eleven other contenders to win the season. BBQ Blitz was Jackson’s first break as a food program presenter, as a reward for winning Food Network Star.
Furthermore, Jackson has served as a judge on Chopped. In 2021, he was a team leader on BBQ Brawl, where he competed against Bobby Flay and Michael Symon. In addition, Jackson acted as a judge on Halloween Wars’ 11th season, which began in October 2021.
