Career
Ousmane Cisse began professionally playing basketball in 2001 and retired in 2010. He began his professional basketball career after being picked by the Denver Nuggets in the 2001 NBA draft. Due to his injuries, he was soon discharged from the squad and joined the Harlem Globetrotters. He returned to the NBA and played for the Orlando Magic for one game before being dismissed. Then he signed with the Toronto Raptors but was dismissed before he could play a single game.
He joined the NBDL’s Fayetteville Patriots and played for them during the 2004-05 season. Cisse joined the Israeli side Bnei Hasharon and played for them for four seasons. During the 2007-08 season, he assisted his side in finishing third in the Israeli League. Cisse joined APOEL Nicosia in 2009 but shortly departed to join Etendard de Brest in 2010. He later retired from professional basketball in 2010. He represented his country in the 2005 FIBA Africa Championship.
