In 2013, the band began doing street performances in Stockholm’s streets and uploading the footage to YouTube for their fans (dubbed Foooers) to see. Bieber’s manager contacted The Fooo’s management and asked if the band would like to be the opening act for Bieber’s April 2013 concert in Globen, which the band agreed to. “Build a Girl,” the Fooo’s first charting single, peaked at number 41 on Sverigetopplistan, Sweden’s official singles chart. The song also charted on the Digilistanchart, peaking at number three. The Artist House released The Fooo’s first EP, self-titled The Fooo, on August 16, 2013.
They received the Swedish Grammis award for “Innovator of the Year.” Off the Grid, their debut studio album, topped the official Swedish Albums Chart in its first week of release on April 2, 2014.
