Nina Ali Has Announced Her Departure From The Show “The Real Housewives of Dubai”

Nina Ali

In an Instagram post, Nina Ali of The Real Housewives of Dubai declared her resignation from the program. Nina announced her retirement from the program on Monday, January 30, 2023, through Instagram, claiming “new problems” in her life as the cause for her leave. She said,

“It was an honor to be a part of the premiere season of The Real Housewives of Dubai, and to assist [Bravo] introduce this renowned series to the city I call home. I’m thankful to the network, Andy Cohen, and the Truly Original team for accepting me into their extended family and embracing the array of richness Dubai has to offer.”

Ali went on to say,

“2023 has already provided me many great chances — including a budding new company, a new house, and new travels — so for the time being, shifting my focus away from the program will enable me to concentrate on new challenges.”

During her time on RHODubai season 1, fans got to know Nina Ali and followed her profession as a co-founder of her premium fruit cake company as well as her journey as a wife, mother, and entrepreneur.

Nina Ali’s departure from RHODubai comes after Lisa Rinna announced her departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after eight seasons.

Nina Ali, 44, is a lifestyle content developer who was born in Lebanon, reared in Texas, and has lived in Dubai for over 10 years. She appeared on the RHODubai series with her husband, Munaf, and their three children. She and her spouse relocated to Dubai in 2011, after getting married.

The businesswoman, entrepreneur, and mother of three children will not feature in the franchise’s second season, which will begin production in the coming months, according to PEOPLE. Nina Ali resigned a day after veteran housewife Lisa Rinna stated in an interview with PEOPLE that she was departing The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. For eight seasons, the actress has been a regular on the program.

Lisa Rinna, 59, is said to have told PEOPLE in an interview:

“This is the longest job I have done in my 35-year career and I am thankful to everyone at Bravo and all those engaged in the series. It’s been a fantastic eight years, and I’m looking forward to what’s next!”

The decision was taken since Rinna’s contract expired at the end of the previous season. She and Bravo agreed that she would not return to RHOBH after assessing her alternatives and professional responsibilities. Rinna debuted in the franchise’s fifth season, which premiered in 2014. During her first season, the actress became embroiled in one of the show’s most famous brawls when she flung a wine glass at then-costar Kim Richards, who had intimated Rinna didn’t want news of her husband Harry Hamlin to get out. The Real Housewives of Dubai was initially announced by executive producer Andy Cohen on the Today show in November 2021, making it the first time Bravo has launched a Real Housewives program in a foreign location.

Cohen, 54, commented at the series premiere:

“Everything is larger in Dubai, and I couldn’t be more delighted to begin Bravo’s first international Housewives series with an exceptional group of friends as our guides in a city I’ve been captivated with for years.”

Will The Real Housewives of Dubai return for a second season?

When the program first aired in June 2021, it soon gained popularity among viewers because to the cast’s appealing personality and intriguing narrative. The Dubai Housewives convened in New York City for BravoCon in October of last year, and during their panel there, the cast members expressed excitement to begin shooting season 2, which had not yet been announced. Nina Ali’s departure will shift emphasis to the surviving housewives, making room for a newcomer. The Real Housewives of Dubai on Bravo was a smashing success, and a second season is in the works.

Ali has previously expressed her hope for the program to be renewed for a second season.

“If and when there is a season 2, we’re all ready. I’m making it happen! For everyone!”

Chanel Ayan, Caroline Brooks, Sara Al Madani, Lesa Milan, and Caroline Stanbury all featured in the first season of the reality program. According to Deadline, Nina Ali sent her warmest wishes to her co-stars and wrote,

“I wish my fellow Housewives the best of luck in the future. I’ll be rooting for you.”

Brooks, Nina Ali’s co-star, responded to her letter by writing,

“It would take a lifetime to express how much I love and care about you. “My Ninzzzzzzz.”
