Nikita Dragun Is Accused Of Stealing A Nail Brand Concept Called Scandal Beauty

Nikita Dragun

Nikita Dragun is embroiled in yet another scandal after being accused of copying product concepts from an independent nail firm named Scandal Beauty. The firm released a video that demonstrated remarkable parallels between Dragun’s items and those they sell. The film also included a side-by-side comparison of the two sets to demonstrate that Dragun’s nails were of worse quality than the independent brand. Since then, the video has received over 22k views and 1.9k likes.

More on Nikita Dragun being accused of stealing the concept for press-on nails.

Nikita Dragun recently announced a partnership with Makartt to create press-on nails. Dragun’s long and gorgeous talons were featured in the ad film. However, one of the nails in the video seemed uncannily identical to a Scandal Beauty set. The independent firm acknowledged the resemblance in an Instagram post captioned:

“For this one, we had to bring back Us VS Them haha.”

In the video, they Googled “scandal press on,” and the top results were “Makartt X Nikita Dragun Scandal Press Ons.”

They then conducted a side-by-side comparison of the two nail products. /The Makartt nails cost $15 for 24 nails, which is less than Scandal nails, which cost $27 for 30 nails. When compared to the independent brand’s nails, Makartt’s nails were ill-fitting, fragile, and of lesser quality. The video also reveals that Nikita Dragun just purchased nails from Scandal Beauty. Over 90 comments have been left on the video, with viewers expressing their thoughts on the whole situation. mc.brego, an Instagram user, complimented on the nail quality, saying:

“Theirs seems to be worse than what I’ve seen at the $1 shop.”

User Allytherose pointed out that Dragun’s nails in the advertising video seemed to be different from the nails offered by Makartt. They stated:

“Her nails in the promotional video did not appear like the ones she was selling……Your nails are ablaze!! She is unable to compete!”

Another user, deedo mcnugget, commented with their thoughts:

Theirs were of such poor quality… They didn’t even seem like a decent facsimile… They seemed to be low-cost press ons from the 1990s. I doubt they’ll stay long; it was a money grab for the business, but they chose such a bad influencer. To be honest, I believe they will lose money on this collaboration.

Dragun, according to user lissa luvya, should promote a trans business:

Something’s really nasty to do that to a trans-owned company that happens to support your community smh.

Similar allegations have been leveled about the influencer in the past.

Nikita Dragun has been accused of taking component concepts from another independent company in the past. Dragun Beauty liquid lipstick was introduced in 2020. Fans immediately noticed the packaging resemblance to another brand named Opalescent. When Opalescent pointed out the resemblance in a tweet, a user called Braxton Gary swiftly explained that the component structure was a common design used by a variety of cosmetic laboratories.

The influencer was also accused of reusing amusing Tweets. She often shared funny jokes on her Twitter account, but fans discovered that many of her tweets had already been made by other people. While some chastised Dragun and advised her to repost the postings instead of duplicating them, others said it wasn’t such a big thing, adding that people often copy and share humorous tweets and memes.
