Nicki Aycox Passed Away At The Age Of 47

Nicki Aycox, an actress, and singer died on November 16, 2022, at the age of 47. Susan Raab Ceklosky, her sister-in-law, announced the news on social media, writing:

“Nicki Aycox Raab, my beautiful, clever, strong, highly talented, and beloved sister-in-law, died yesterday with my brother Matt Raab at her side. In California, Nicki and Matt enjoyed a lovely life together. She was a warrior, and everyone who knew her adored her.”

Aycox passed away after a lengthy fight with leukemia. She was diagnosed with cancer a year ago and stated that she had begun treatment in March 2021. In January and February 2021, she fell very unwell and subsequently stated:

“In January and February, I felt terribly unwell, believing I had covid. Things finally came to a head. I ended up in the hospital after being diagnosed with Lukemia (sic).”

She also revealed that she was battling acute myeloid leukemia, announcing in March that she was having treatment for the condition once again. The actress was well-known for her roles in films such as Jeepers Creepers 2, Perfect Stranger, and The X-Files: I Want to Believe.

Nicki Aycox rose to prominence as a result of her roles in a number of television series and films.

Nicki Aycox, who was born on May 26, 1975, used to sing in beauty pageants and play the piano as a youngster. She appeared in television programs such as 3rd Rock from the Sun, USA High, Boy Meets World, The X-Files, and Providence. In the 2003 horror film Jeepers Creepers 2, she portrayed a psychic cheerleader. The film garnered terrible critical reviews but earned between $63.1 and $120 million at the box office.

From July to October 2005, Aycox played Private Brenda “Mrs. B” Mitchell in the action war drama series Over There. The program ran for one season with 13 episodes before being terminated owing to poor ratings. In 2006, she appeared as the psychotic serial murderer Amber Canardo in an episode of the police procedural crime drama series Criminal Minds.

In the first season of the iconic dark fantasy drama series Supernatural, Nicki Aycox played Meg Masters. Kim Manners, the executive producer, remarked on her casting:

“When you bring on a lady that is going to be a strong figure, I believe there will be some s*xuality injected into the role. I contributed a lot of things on my own, although it was also in the script.”

Grace Clayton in the 2007 psychological thriller film Perfect Stranger and Cheryl Cunningham in the 2008 supernatural thriller film The X-Files: I Want to Believe was both performed by the actor. She then starred as Melissa Scott in the 2008 horror flick Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead. In 2009, Aycox starred as Jaimie Allen in the criminal drama series Dark Blue. Red Velvet Room, her debut EP, was published in 2015.
