Everyone chastised Liam Payne when he made a statement about Zayn Malik on the Impaulsive show. Payne made fun of Gigi Hadid’s previous post, in which she referred to Malik as a “respectful king.” The Victoria’s Secret model sent the tweet before Malik allegedly assaulted her mother, Yolanda Hadid.
According to Payne, the tweet “didn’t age very well.” He acknowledged having a “dislike” for his former One Direction bandmate but added that he will always support him. To compound things, the ‘Strip That Down’ singer made remarks about Malik’s parents and background. This did not sit well with netizens, who unleashed a storm of criticism on the Impaulsive’s YouTube episode’s comment area.

Liam Payne Apologizes for Remarks About Zayn Malik
On June 2, 2022, Payne apologized on Twitter for what he said about his bandmate on Impaulsive. He added that he would typically not speak on such topics, but when it came to his family, he couldn’t stay quiet. The singer mentioned a “particular event with Zayn to which he replied,” but upon reflection, he realized he had not stated himself effectively.
“I will say that we will always differ on certain issues, but that I will always, always be on his side.” That’s what family is. “Zayn is my brother, and I will always support him,” Payne said on Twitter.
Some netizens were still angered by his remarks and continued to criticize him. “What you said was incredibly insulting to Zayn, his family, and his personal life, Liam.” You understand that he is a private person, and you had no right to speak such things about him. “I thought you were better than that,” one Twitter user said.
While some were outraged by Payne’s remarks, his devoted followers rallied in his defense. They saw that most of what he said on the podcast was taken out of context and was not seen in the way he was attempting to express it.
Zayn Malik’s Disagreement with One Direction Bandmates
Malik has not reacted, although he has regularly mentioned his former bandmates, implying that he is not on good terms with them. In January 2016, he said that he never wanted to be in the band and only joined when he was given the chance. But, as he learned the band’s path, he realized it wasn’t for him and decided he didn’t want to be a part of it. He said that One Direction’s music was “generic” and did not suit his taste.’
