The American singer also discussed how their friendship became stronger with the release of La Di Die. She stated:
“It wasn’t anything devious. I felt like I simply let my emotions take over, which was not ideal timing. But I don’t have any regrets.”

During the podcast conversation, Nessa Barrett expressed her desire for the relationship to succeed. She also mentioned that her border personality disorder came into play since she spent so much time with her ex-boyfriend, Hossler. She stated:

Nessa Barrett also discussed the turmoil that occurred with the relationship, saying:
“It made me quite angry since I believed it was doing something that would make me happy at the moment. At the same time, the whole world was calling me an sl*t, a backstabbing b*tch, a buddy hopping, and a home wrecker. It was quite annoying.”
During the podcast, she said that she had no regrets about her interactions with Jaden since some of them were quite great. Finally, she finished by saying:
“It was a us vs the world situation, which became difficult when we were both going through personal struggles.”
In response to the infidelity claims, Nessa Barrett said that she does not believe Jaden cheated on her physically. She stated:
“And I don’t blame him for anything since I wasn’t the greatest person in the relationship at the time because I was hurting so much.”

Jaden Hossler and Nessa Barrett’s troubled relationship.
The couple’s romance speculations began with the release of their single La Di Die in February 2021. Following the release of the song, the couple was seen out and about around town, sometimes lunching, sometimes simply walking hand in hand. Jaden ultimately admitted to their connection in a radio appearance a few months later, in June 2021. He said at the time:
“Then, as a boyfriend, I’m really pleased and thankful to be her boyfriend.”
The trouble in the relationship started when Jaden’s ex, Mads Lewis, alleged in a now-deleted TikTok video that Nessa Barrett took Jaden from him. After being dubbed a home wrecker, the pair chose to keep their relationship private. However, Jaden and Nessa were photographed eating out in Los Angeles soon after the incident. Everything seemed OK with the pair, as they were often spotted getting intimate in videos on TikTok and Instagram. The pair also displayed their matching tattoos, a “3” and an angel.
At the same time, in an interview with The Zach Sang Show in July 2021, Hossler stated:
“I’m overjoyed, dude. She inspires me to be a better person. I don’t believe you could ask for more.”
Later, after exchanging birthday greetings and showing support for one another on social media, the pair moved in together in early 2022. During an interview, Nessa verified this information. Simultaneously, the two were often observed producing TikToks together. However, reports about the couple’s separation began to circulate in April 2022. Following the speculations, the pair made their split public by declaring it online. They said in a joint statement:
“Last month we split up to concentrate on our individual professions and mental health,” they stated. “Please do not send venom or make assumptions. We’d prefer to heal discreetly, and we hope you can all respect that. We adore each and every one of you.”
The pair also maintained that their divorce was peaceful and that they are still on good terms.
