NeNe Leakes was born on December 13, 1967, in Queens, New York, is one of five siblings who were sent to Athens, Georgia, with one of her brothers because her mother looked to be unable to care for so many children.
Her permanent address is in Duluth, Georgia. However, she rents a home in Hollywood Hills West, Los Angeles.
