Chanelle Haynes is best known as the daughter of popular rapper Cornell Iral Haynes Jr, also known as Nelly. Her brother, Cornel III, aka ‘Tre,’ was raised alongside her, but their mothers’ identities are unknown. Chanelle also has two cousins, Sydney and Shawn, who were raised by Chanelle’s father, Nelly, after his sister died of leukemia in March 2005.
Among Nelly’s four children, the bond between the rapper and his daughter Chanelle appears to be extra special. Following in Her Father’s Footsteps, Chanelle, also known as Nana, was introduced to the world by Nelly in his 2014 reality show, Nellyville. This is the same show that introduced her sibling and cousins.
Chanelle opened up about her life on the show, revealing a few details such as her education and dreams. She revealed that she attended Columbia College in Chicago on the advice of her father.
She also mentioned her interest in music and hinted that she was following in her father’s footsteps. In doing so, the aspiring singer released her first single in July 2020 and plans to release more music in the future.

Similarly, he said on her birthday in 2020, “.even though you are a strong beautiful young woman, all I see is a snaggletooth five-year-old who can make me laugh on any dark day.”

Her Stepmother Wishes To Have Children With Nelly.
While Nelly raised Chanelle as a single father, his girlfriend, Shantel Jackson, played the role of a mother figure to Chanelle and her siblings. Shantel was first introduced as a cast member on Nellyville, and she and Nelly have been dating ever since. Shantel grew close to Chanelle and her siblings as a result, and Nelly even refers to her as ‘Mama.’
Despite the fact that Shantel has a special place in Chanelle’s heart and family, she has made her intentions to have a child with Nelly known on multiple occasions.
