Nate Bjorkgren is a well-known basketball coach on a professional level. He is currently the Indiana Pacers’ new head coach, having taken over on October 20, 2020. He was, however, fired on June 9, 2021. This occurred after only one season as head coach of the team. The Indiana Pacers fired him after the team failed to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2014–15 season. The team had previously lost in the play-in tournament to the Washington Wizards.
From 2018 to 2020, he was an assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Prior to this position, he worked as an assistant coach for the Phoenix Suns. From 2015 to 2017, he was a member of the Phoenix Suns.
Previously, this coach was a player who attended the University of South Dakota as well as Buena Vista University. He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Sioux Central High School before being promoted to head coach at the age of 23.
