- He began playing football with the GBS Academy young academy in 2003 and continued to do so until 2013. He signed a pre-contractual deal with Dutch club AFC Ajax on May 10, 2013, to join them in pre-season training. He made his debut for Ajax in a 3-0 away victory over De Graafschap in a pre-season friendly match on 13 July 2013, coming in as a replacement player and scoring the third and final goal in the 64th minute. On 17 July 2013, he made another debut for the reserves squad Jong Ajax in a pre-season friendly match against Voorschoten ’97, scoring the second goal in a 5-0 home triumph.
- He was included to Nigeria’s 35-man provisional team for the 2016 Summer Olympics. In May 2018, he was chosen to Nigeria’s preliminary 30-man team for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He did not, however, reach the final 23 due to injury. He was also included to the country’s 23-man team for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
