Miya Ali is one of the nine children of Muhammad Ali, the late iconic boxer and most inspiring personality. Miya, a Notary Signing Agent, is also a single mother with one child. However, the identity of her child’s biological father remains a guarded secret.

Miya Ali has seven half-siblings from her late father’s side, as well as one adoptive brother. Even after his death, the legendary boxer is still talked about, but many people are unaware of Miya Ali’s mother.

Miya Ali Biography

Miya is a 48-year-old woman. She was born in the United States of America in December 1972. In the early 1970s, her father was still married to his second wife, actress Belinda Boyd, when he had an extramarital affair with her mother, Patricia Harvell. Ali and Harvell, on the other hand, split up shortly after Mia’s birth. They never got married.

Her mother has kept her life out of the spotlight since her divorce from Ali, making it difficult to discuss her current situation. However, we have learned that Miya is very close to her mother. She’s posted a few throwback photos of her mother on social media. Ali captioned a childhood photo of herself and her mother, Pat, in February 2017: “TBT me and my mommy aka Pat.”

Miya Ali Was Initially Unaware Of Her Father’s Enormous Popularity

Growing up as Muhammad Ali’s daughter, Miya had no idea how famous her father was. Miya revealed at the Marchon Film Fest that she had no idea her father had such a distinct personality. However, Miya got to experience her father’s fame years later, when Ali served as the titular bearer of the Olympic flag at the opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Miya Ali’s Father’s Death

Muhammad Ali, the legendary boxer and philanthropist, died in June 2016 at the age of 74. He was admitted to a hospital in Phoneix for respiratory problems related to Parkinson’s disease. On June 3rd, the world lost an iconic sports figure who had won three heavyweight titles during his illustrious boxing career.

Miya spoke about her late father, especially his compassion for those in need, during her Marchon FilmFest interview. She stated there,

“He’s a generous man.” He is a people person. He adores children. He works for the United Nations as a peace ambassador.”

In the meantime, Ali mentioned one of her father’s favorite sayings as:

“What you do on Earth is the rent you have to pay in order to enter heaven.”

Miya, like her father, is involved in social work and enjoys assisting homeless people and supporting various humanitarian causes.

Miya Ali Grew Up With Seven Siblings

Ali has six half-sisters and one half-brother as a result of her father’s numerous romantic relationships. In 1964, his father married cocktail waitress Sonji Roi for the first time. However, two years after their marriage in 1966, their relationship ended.

Ali married his second wife, Belinda Boyd, a year after they divorced. Miya’s four older half-siblings were born from the union: rapper Maryum (born 1968), twins Jamillah and Rasheda (born 1970), and Muhammad Ali Jr., born in 1972.

Khaliah, her other half-sister, was born in 1974 as a result of her father’s extramarital relationship with Aaisha Ali. Ali married actress and model Veronica Porché for the third time. Hana and Laila Ali, born in December 1977, are the couple’s other daughters. The Ali siblings are all very close to one another.

Miya shared a throwback photo of the entire family in November 2016, in which the legendary boxer can be seen in between his children.

Miya also has an adoptive brother, Asaad Amin, who was born on March 12, 1986. Ali and his fourth wife Lonnie adopted him when he was five months old.

Miya Ali’s Academic Achievements

Miya attended Teaneck High School before attending Fairleigh Dickinson University-Metropolitan Campus. Ali went on to study at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, after graduating. She also spent a year from 2018 to 2019 completing a Holistic Health Coach training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Miya Ali Professional Career

In 1999, Muhammad Ali’s daughter landed her first managerial position at IDT Corporation. She worked as a manager of corporate affairs for the company for about four years. After that, she began working at The Estate at Florentine Gardens. Ali spent a couple of years there as a catering sales manager (2004-06).

Miya was also promoted to account manager at Master Food Brokers. In 2008, she began working as a sales manager at the Park Ridge Marriott in New Jersey. She worked for a year before landing the same position at New York City’s Room Mate Grace Hotel.

Miya has also worked as a corporate group sales manager at the ink48-A Kimpton Hotel, as a manager at World Venture marketing Inc, and as a senior sales manager at Isla Beach Resort and Ocean’s Edge.

Ali has also worked as an account director at W Hotels – Times Square and as the director of group sales at Hersha Hospitality Management. She now works as a Brand Ambassador for her sister Laila Ali’s Lifestyle. She is also a nutritionist.

Miya Ali Is A Single Mother

Ali is the father of a son named Mikey (aka Michael). Miya has shared a number of photos of her child on social media, but she has yet to discuss Miky’s biological father.

Mikey graduated in May of this year. His mother announced his graduation on Instagram.

Miya is also the proud grandmother of Mikey’s son, Cassius, who was born in January 2018. Her Instagram feed is chock-full of adorable photos of her son and grandson.

In terms of her romantic life, Miya is not in a relationship and does not currently have a partner.
