Milo Manheim, a Generation Gap guest, discusses his career in the entertainment sector so far.
Milo Manheim is a well-known American actor who played Zed in the 2018 Disney Channel original film Zombies and its 2020 sequel. He also finished second in Season 27 of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. Manheim was born on March 6, 2001, in Los Angeles, California, and grew up there. He started his acting career at the age of seven in a local after-school program in Culver City and went on to participate in 15 musicals with Liza Monjauze Productions.
Amber Horn, a casting director, noticed Manheim after his performance in the musical Rent. He was then called in for an audition for Zombies. He was cast as the lead, and the film debuted on Disney Channel in February 2018. The third edition of the film series, named Zombies 3, will release on Disney+ on Friday, July 15. Because he is the son of Emmy and Golden Globe winner Camryn Manheim, the 21-year-old actor spends a lot of time on set. This incident sparked his interest in the trade at a young age.
Manheim continued his passion for musicals by performing in the original musical Generation Me at New York City’s Hudson Theatre and Playwright Horizons. In addition, the actor has performed community service. Following his appearance on Zombies, he became a champion for adolescent suicide prevention. He has also volunteered for several community organizations such as Poker for Puppies, Buy Life, and Bread & Roses Restaurant. Manheim donated money generated from a lemonade sale to the Obama campaign in 2008. He was even invited to the inauguration in Washington, D.C. The actor has also worked with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Waterkeeper Alliance.
Manheim will co-star with Peyton Elizabeth Lee in the Disney+ film Prom Pact, which will be released in the spring of 2023. Filming for the same started in March 2022. The actor enjoys music and can play a number of instruments such as the guitar, piano, drums, and ukulele. He has 1.6 million Instagram followers and routinely gives updates on his films and musicals.
