Mike Braun was born in Jasper, Indiana, on March 24, 1954, and he went on to graduate from Jasper High School. He was a three-sport star athlete as well, and he later married Maureen, the girl he loved in high school. She led the cheers. He afterward enrolled at the all-male Wabash College, where he joined the fraternity Phi Delta Theta. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in economics Summa Cum laude.
