Jerry Springer was married to the lovely Micki Velton. Jerry and Micki Velton met while both were employed by Proctor & Gamble. They allegedly dated for years before marrying in 1973. Jerry’s marriage to Velton, like all marriages, began on a high note.

Jerry Springer was born on February 13, 1944, in Highgate, Middlesex, England. His mother, Margot née Kallmann, worked as a bank clerk, and his father, Richard Springer, ran a shoe store.
His parents were both Jewish refugees from Landsberg a der Warthe, Prussia (now Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland). When discussing his education, Jerry earned his BA from Tulane University and his Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University.
