In the MMA Challenge 7, he faced off against John Weir in his first knockout match. In 2005, while competing for ‘The Ultimate Fight Club UK,’ he made his kickboxing debut against David Brown in a heavyweight contest. Michael lost the kickboxing match at CWFC against Cyrille Diabate, but he won the FX3.
