Meghan McCain and her husband, Ben Domenech, are expecting their second child together. Meghan revealed the news to DailyMail on September 15 and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to welcome a new family member this winter. She went on,
“We’re more than halfway to meeting our newest daughter, and we couldn’t be happier.” Our whole family, particularly her grandmothers, can’t wait to shower her with all the love and attention we can muster. Ben and I are overjoyed and counting down the days till we can expand our family and meet our newest member.”

Meghan McCain, 37, was born on October 23, 1984, and is a well-known personality, columnist, and author who has worked for ABC News, Fox News, and MSNBC. In 2007, she began her career by starting a blog called McCain Blogette, which focused on her father, John McCain’s, presidential campaign. Despite the fact that her blogs were geared at gaining support for her father among Generation Y voters, Steve Schmidt and other McCain campaign support aides restricted her appearances, calling her “extremely contentious.”
McCain began writing for The Daily Beast in January 2009, and in April 2009, he got a book contract with Hyperion. The following month, she appeared on The Colbert Report and expressed her support for s*x education while criticizing Briston Palin’s s*xual abstinence campaign. In 2009 and 2010, she featured as a guest co-host on The View and on the news quiz program Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me.
Meghan McCain joined the Daily Mail as an editorial contributor in September of last year and released her book, Bad Republican, in April of this year. She also co-hosted the program TakePart Live in 2014 and became a Fox News contributor in 2015. In November 2016, she was named a regular co-host of the chat show Outnumbered and a permanent co-host of the ABC talk show The View. However, she announced her departure from The View in July 2021.

Meghan McCain and Ben Domenech became engaged in July 2017 and married in November of the same year, albeit it is unclear how they met. In 2020, the couple had their first child, a girl named Liberty. McCain revealed to People that Liberty has similar behaviors to her father, John. McCain said,
“This is pretty unusual… DNA and genes are weird creatures. [Liberty] does this thing with her hands all the time, and [my father] used to do it all the time. It’s not something I do. I’m not sure where that comes from, but she still does it.”
She went on,
“I informed my mother-in-law that it bothers me when she does it since it’s a tic my father used to do with his hands.” So it’s something like that, but I loved my father and I love my mother in a manner that I believe many people love their parents. They’re the ones that reared you.”
McCain concluded that her father was “so much for so much of my life” in many ways, but with her daughter, “it is simply pure,” and “she is perfection.”
