Reed Sheppard

Jeff and Stacey Sheppard, both former basketball players, groomed their son Reed to follow in their footsteps and be a good basketball player. He is carrying on his family’s basketball tradition since his parents were both standout players at the University of Kentucky.

Reed Sheppard started his basketball career at North Laurel High School in London, Kentucky, where he soon established himself as the primary shooting guard. His outstanding performance led to incredible accomplishments, like topping the state of Kentucky in scoring during his sophomore year and being awarded the Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior.

Sheppard proceeded to excel in his senior year, winning the title of Kentucky Mr. Basketball. His extraordinary abilities and achievements have positioned him as a top 50 talent in the 2023 class. Sheppard committed to playing collegiate basketball for Kentucky in November 2021, turning down offers from other prestigious colleges such as Louisville and Virginia.
