Spinosa enrolled at the Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan after gaining accolades for his work and graduated in 2016 with a business degree in Culinary Arts. Chef Richard Blais will be Christopher’s mentor on Next Level Chef season 2. Spinosa expressed his love of cooking in an interview with Underground Long Island, saying:
“Cooking is an art because your canvas is plainly put out in front of you—usually white. Every single one of your blunders, as well as all of your amazing perfections and accomplishments, will be shown. Just like any other kind of artist.”
More information about Next Level Chef season 2
The structure of the second season of Next Level Chef will be similar to the first, with additional challenges awaiting the competitors. The 18 chefs participating in the culinary competition will have to execute under three distinct conditions in three different kitchens dependent on their mentors. Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington, and Richard Blais, the chefs’ mentors, will endeavor to bring out the best in them until they select the top members of their team. In each episode, the chefs must produce one dish to please the judges and avoid elimination.
The season’s winner will be crowned ‘Next Level Chef,’ receive a $250,000 cash award, and a one-year mentoring from the judges.
The season is described by Fox as follows:
“The legendary epic gastronomic gauntlet returns to its famous stage. Each level of the three-story building has a breathtakingly diverse kitchen. The ingredients complement the atmosphere, from the gleaming top floor to the tough depths of the basement, since Gordon Ramsay thinks that the ultimate measure of great chefs is not just what they can achieve in the greatest of conditions, but what sort of magic their can produce in the worst!”
Season 2 of Next Level Chef will air on Fox on Sunday, February 12 at 10.30 p.m. ET, after the Super Bowl. It’s worth noting that, after the inaugural episode, the program will run every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
