Following a mediocre reception to the first season, La Brea is due to begin its second season on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, starring newcomer Martin Sensmeier. The science-fiction series may have failed to wow reviewers with its rather disjointed plot, but it has effectively established a slew of riddles for the current season to investigate. The previous season’s closing episode took the program on an entirely new course, somewhat mimicking Netflix’s Dark.
Viewers will be exposed to an ancient organization known as The Exiles in fresh storyline twists. Taamet, the leader of this 10,000 B.C. clan, will be played by Martin Sensmeier. In this capacity, he will become a formidable opponent to the sinkhole survivors, notably the Harris family.

Who is Martin Sensmeier from La Brea Season 2?
Martin Sensmeier is an Alaska Native and European-American actor from the United States. He gained to notoriety playing Native American characters such as Wanahton in HBO’s critically acclaimed Westworld. Sensmeier was born in Anchorage, Alaska, to Raymond and Eva Sensmeier in 1985, but grew up in Yakutat, Alaska. His father is a German-Tlingit, while his mother is a Koyukon-Athabascan native of Ruby, Alaska. He has always felt very connected to the cultures of his Alaska Native grandparents.
Martin began his career as a welder. He then worked on an oil rig for Doyon Drilling before leaving to pursue acting in Los Angeles. Before obtaining a job in Beyond the Sky, he worked as a model. The film came out after several of his subsequent endeavors. He became well-known for his role as Red Harvest, one of the main characters in the 2016 film The Magnificent Seven.
Martin Sensmeier appeared in The Chickasaw Rancher and Wind River in 2017. He joined the cast of Westworld the following year. His other notable roles include physical therapist Martin in Season 2 of Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone and Sam in the prequel 1883. Salem, Lilin’s Brood, Perfect, Spare Room, FBI: Most Wanted, The Liberator, The Ice Road, Rutherford Falls, and The Things They Carried are among his other credits. Martin also belongs to the Native Wellness Institute, a youth advocacy organization.
