Mariusz Pudazianowski was born in Biala Rawska, Poland, on February 7, 1977. As of 2024, he is 47 years old. Wojciech Pudazianowski and Maria Pudazianowski were his parents. His father used to be a weightlifter before becoming a strength coach. Mariusz was always interested in sports and martial arts. At the age of 11, he began learning Kyokushin karate. Mariusz began boxing at the age of 15 and retired after seven years. While training in combat sports, he competed in the Polish weightlifting championship in the benchpress event at the age of 16. He finally put martial arts aside at the age of 21 to focus solely on the strongman competition. He also won Poland’s Strongest Man and made his debut at the World’s Strongest Man Contest in 2000, finishing fourth behind Magnus Samuelsson, Svend Karlsen, and eventual winner Janne Virtanen. Mariusz made a comeback in 2002. Many predicted that he would not win the competition, but to everyone’s surprise, he won the 2002 World’s Strongest Man title.
The following year, in 2003, he won the World’s Strongest Man title with a 20-point lead. In March 2004, he was also crowned World Champion of the Strongman Super Series.
