In early November 2015, she finished second aboard Aubusson in the Grand Prix d’Automne at Auteuil. Tea For Two won the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase on Boxing Day 2015, her most famous triumph. She was also the first female rider in Britain to win a Grade One event.
Her mother owned the horse, which was trained by Nick Williams. Lizzie Kelly also won Europe’s richest handicap hurdle, the Betfair Hurdle, riding Agrapart in February 2016 at Newbury. She also became just the second woman to ride in the Cheltenham Gold Cup the following year, on Tea For Two. Kelly again rode Tea For Two in the Cheltenham Gold Cup for the second year in a row, finishing sixth.
