Lisseth Chavez is slated to return with her badge in Season 5 of ABC’s The Rookie, after her departure from the NBC program Chicago P.D. Lisseth Chavez, who is of Salvadoran heritage, came to notoriety in 2011’s The Baby, and her career took off from there. Here’s more about her life and her future part in the ABC series.
Lisseth Chavez is a Chicago Police Department graduate
Lisseth Chavez is a model turned actress from the United States. She originally appeared in True Beauty, a real beauty contest, in 2009, and has subsequently featured in The Baby, Southland, Shameless, and a number of other series in the years afterward. The Osbrink Agency, Vault Entertainment, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher represent her. Chavez was nominated for Best Supporting Actress: Television at the 2020 Imagen Awards for her role in Chicago P.D.
Her filmography
While Lisseth Chavez has been in programs such as Lucifer, Rizzoli & Isles, Night Shift, The Fosters, Station 19, and The OA, she landed the starring part in NBC’s Chicago franchise shows as rookie cop Vanessa Rojas. Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and Chicago Fire are all part of the franchise. Her involvement in the series was initially intended to set her up as Kevin Atwater’s future girlfriend, which was started in season 7 but was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, Lisseth Chavez’s character arc ended there as well, since it was stated during the break that she would not return to complete her character’s tale. This was because the character “never really resonated with fans or creators.”
During that time, Chavez was cast as a tech-geek with a terrible history in season 6 of The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow. Her character comes out as as*xual in the series episode The Fixed Point, making her the first Arrowverse character to do so. During Season 5, Lisseth Chavez will appear as a guest star in many episodes of ABC’s The Rookie. She will be featured as Celina, a new rookie with easy confidence and great scores at the Academy whose unusual attitude to police work offers a unique challenge for her training officer.
